The CORE accepts unsolicited submissions throughout the entire year (including the summer) from Urbana High School students. Submissions will be read by editors as they come in. Although official publications happen on set dates, broadsides are printed and posted throughout the school at irregular increments. If we see a work we just have to publish, then it'll be published. Completely original work is absolutely wonderful but something written previously for a class is fantastic too. Please do NOT send us plagiarized work. Not only is that a violation of school policy but it would greatly disappoint us. Students who submit plagiarized work will not be allowed to send us submissions. There are no exceptions, we don't care how good it is. 

We will send an email regarding the status of your work within a month of its original submission date. Please note that once your work is submitted, you will NOT be able to edit it. However, if the work is deemed publishable, the editors will extend an opportunity for you to read the suggestions and modify your work (if you want).
